The Executive Chairman of Awgu LGA felicitates with Ndi Awgu marking the begining of Ember month, appreciates them for their encouragement so far as he unveils some of his scorecards.

I felicitate with all of you our great people of Awgu Local Gov't, our esteemed stakeholders, PDP family, the Royal Fathers, Clergies, PGs, Women Leaders/every woman in Awgu, my fellow Youths, civil society groups, lovers of Awgu Local Gov't, etc, for making it to a new month and also for making it with Enugu State at 29. While we are celebrating a new month, we are equally celebrating a new Enugu State at 29, being led by His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, Gburugburu. I say Congratulations to all of you.

Apparently this may not be the actual time to show our scorecard; but I feel it is imperative we commit ourselves more transparently to the services of our people whom we are holding their mandate.

Last month August brought some of the projects we embarked on since we took over office to limelight. Though some of them are yet to get their finish touches while a number of them are almost in their completion stages.

We have, through our ward councillors, been able to execute some number of projects across 11 wards in Awgu Local Gov't:

1️⃣ The Omala Bridge at Ogboli/Ohaja - Awgu Ward I.

2️⃣Culvert at Umuogba Ihe - Ihe ward.

3️⃣ Renovation of Ogbaku Health Center, - Ogbaku ward.

4️⃣Afọr Market hall Nenwenta - Anikenano/Ugwueme ward.

5️⃣Construction of Ultramodern Public Toilet/Urinary at Eke Mgbowo Daily Market - Mgbowo ward.

6️⃣Obodo Umuoye Erosion Control Network + Culvert - Agbogugu Ward.

7️⃣Construction of Bridge at Amankwo/Agbani/Odume/Akpuoka Road - Ogugu/Ugbo/Owelli/Amoli ward.

8️⃣Construction of Culvert at Ọhaja - Awgu Ward I.

9️⃣Construction of Bus-stop at Madu-Akọ junction, Obeagu- Obeagu ward.

🔟Construction of Culvert at Ugwu Village road Ezioka, Isuawa - Ituku/Isuawa/Agbudu ward.

1️⃣1️⃣Culvert at Umuhu, Ugwuleshi Awgu - Awgu Ward II.

1️⃣2️⃣Volleyball Court at Model Secondary School Mmaku- Mgbidi/Mmaku ward.

The council, Awgu LG, has in the last month been able to undertake the rebuilding of NYSC fence; Awgu Local Gov't Chairman's lodge has passed deck level; we also began the beautification and painting of Awgu Local Gov't Council Secretariat to give the council a beautiful look; the Awgu-Akinukwa road maintenance is ongoing; solar electrification of Awgu Secretariat is another ongoing project; and, numerous others that we may consider as minor yet very important to the wellbeing of our people in Awgu LG.

I wish to declare this month of September a Month of Completion. On this note, I pray that Almighty God will grant us the enablement and the grace to complete all our assignments/projects both at home, in our personal life, in our offices, career, businesses and in our different places of services in Jesus' name. Amen!
