Pedro Okwudili Nwankwo condemns in strongest terms an online video evidence of a woman publicly humiliated and stripped naked by some villagers in Affam Mmaku after she was being accused of picking "Sacred Snails" from the community shrine. The Chairman queried why the "people" of the area were the one fighting and defending the Deity instead of the Deity fighting and defending itself. He stressed that his office had on hearing the news conducted personal investigations while cooperating with the Security Agencies in Awgu LG and other Corporate Organisations in ensuring that right measures and approaches were taken in addressing the barbaric occurrence and forestalling such further inhuman treatment.
