AWGU LG IN FOCUS!:INSPECTION OF AWGU LG COUNCIL HEALTH CENTERS. DAY 4





The inspection tour of the Community Healthealth Care centers in the council continues. This is in line with the vision of our amiable and indefatigable Chairman, Hon Pedro Okwudili Nwankwo (Eze ome ogo) to resuscitate the Health Care Delivery in the council.

From our tour today, lots of discoveries were made. Hon Nkiru Okafor, the Council Supervisor for Health, who led the Inspection, communicated the aim of the tour to the health workers and the community representatives. In her words, Hon Pedro Okwudili Nwankwo is out to find out the challenges affecting health-care delivery in the council; to solve some of the immediate problems and taking care of the challenges ameliorating the health sector of the council and the effectiveness in the part of the health Workers, hence the Inspection.
The Supervisor took time to educate the people about COVID-19 and how to be safe from the pestilence. She urged them to continue to use the Face Protective Masks against the deadly virus.


In their response, the health workers and the community representatives enumerated their challenges, which were noted down by the inspection team.

Apparently, the government of Hon Pedro Okwudili Nwankwo is out to tackle some of the health center challenges in all the communities in the council. Immediate actions will follow up the findings.
Communities were also advised to do their own part in the proper maintenance of the healthcare facilities in their area. It is expected that the Communities are aware that maintenance of Health Facilities in their area should be in partnership with the Government; that is to say, that involvement and efforts of the government and the various communities in ensuring the smooth running of the health Care delivery in the council are needed in this regard.



The Health Centers visited today include:
• Obeagu
•Ibite-Afam Mmaku
•Otokwu-Enugu Mmaku
•Ezinese Mgbidi Cottage hospital.
•Ezineri Mgbidi health center.

Also in the Inspection team were: Mrs Clementina Egbo, the Cold Chain Officer of Awgu Local Gov't Area; Chief Elvis-Chris (Ochubaluagu), the Media Guru & The Image-Maker of the council and other dignitaries.




Awgu is truly in good hands.
